I thought about that question as I was watching, as I found it incredibly unlikely that Ono would have licensed "Imagine" for the film. I do think that the makers of <i>Expelled</i> <b>could</b> argue that they are "reading" Lennon's song, but it's a bit of a stretch. Politics aside, I'm not quite sure whether I'd defend it as Fair Use or not--I honestly think it's a close call. In my reading, it’s arguably fair use.
